Account & Data Deletion

Remove your account or ask for help with your data.

Updated 2026-10-12 · Version 2026-10-12

Delete your account

Open Settings → Privacy & Security in the app. Sign in again if prompted, choose Delete account and type your primary email to confirm. Save unsent work first; if mail work is still finishing, wait and retry.

Deletion removes the active account, sessions, devices and owned server mail/workspace data, including shared drafts, draft attachments, stored message content, calendar data and contacts. It cannot be undone through the app. It does not delete your Google or Microsoft account, messages at your provider, or messages already sent to recipients.

Disconnect and revoke access

Disconnecting one mailbox is separate from deleting your app account. You can also revoke Mailchemy's grant through your Google or Microsoft account's connected-app settings. Deleting Mailchemy does not automatically revoke those provider grants.

Device and retained copies

A device must reconnect to learn that its session was revoked. Clear local app/browser data on devices you control if you need immediate removal, after saving unsent work. Device backups and exports may contain independent copies. Server deletion is not a remote wipe.

Minimal security/audit records, support correspondence and independent backups have separate handling as described in the Privacy Policy. Contact us about those records or if you cannot use self-service deletion.
